W. K. Siglinger, Cement Company Consultant Dies
Easton Resident, 53, Was Graduate of Lafayette
William K. Siglinger 53, of 203 Cattell St., Easton, died at
6 p.m. yesterday in Easton Hospital. He was admitted there
at 8 a.m. yesterday. He was ill a long time.
Mr. Siglinger was a graduate of Lafayette College, Class of
1929. After Graduation he became assistant director of the
James Lee Pardee Placement Bureau at the college, a position
he held until 1941.
From 1941 until his retirement in 1957 he was a labor relations
consultant for Lehigh Valley cement companies.
Born in Easton on March 15, 1907, he was a son of the late
Joseph and Jennie McKee Siglinger. He was a lifelong resident
of Easton.
Mr. Siglinger was a member of St. Peter's United Church of
Christ, Easton. He served as elder of the church from 1943
until 1952. He was a trustee of Hay's Cemetery Co.
Surviving are his widow, the former Blanche Hissim; a daughter,
Fay, wife of Neil Steckel, Williams Township, a brother Robert,
Palmer Township; a sister, Josephine, wife of Clayton Walter,
Bethlehem Township, and two grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Ashton
Funeral Home, Easton. |
