Thomas Seiple, 83, worked at Ingersoll-Rand 34 Years
Thomas D. Seiple, 83, died Saturday in his home, 147 S. Main
St, Philipsburg. He had been ill for six weeks.
A maintenance man for 34 years on the drill floor of the Phillipsburg
plant, Ingersoll-Rand Co., he retired in 1960.
For years he pitched quoits for Fire Co. No. 1 and St. John’s
Lutheran church, both of Phillipsburg.
Born in Plainfield Township, Northampton County, Pa., on Oct
18, 1893, he was a son of the late Levi H. and Ella Achenbach
Seiple. He lived in Phillipsburg for the last 62 years.
His wife, the former Mary Moyer, died in 1968.
He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, fire
Co. No. 1 and Alert Hook and Ladder Co. all of Phillipsburg,
and a life member of Easton Fleas Club.
Surviving are four daughters, seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren
and a great-great-grandchild.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Rupell Funeral
Home, Philipsburg, Interment will be in Fairmount Cemetery.
