William Sampson, 61, Painter, War Veteran
William Sampson, 61, Court House Hotel, was found dead in his room last night by another roomer, Jacob Moons, Deputy Coroner Alfonso D. Morello attributed death to a heart attack. Mr. Sampson had been under the care of a physician.
Mr. Sampson was employed as a painter, he had served in the army during World War I.
Born in Cedarville, Williams Township, he was a son of the late William and Mame Maddock Sampson. He had lived at 325 Rock St., Easton, about 18 years ago. For the last five years he had resided at the Court House Hotel.
Mr. Sampson was the Evangelical and Reformed now the United Church of Christ faith.
Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Elmer Myers, Easton, and two brothers Harold Sampson and Carl Sampson, both of Easton.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Morello funeral home, Easton. |
