John W. Rush, 89, Watchman At Plant
John Walter Rush, 69, a former dairy farmer, was found dead today at
7:30 a.m. in the Inserting and Mailing Machine Company, Route 22, near
Phillipsburg, where he worked as a watchman.
Mr. Rush, whose home was at 1413 South Main Street, Huntington, near
Phillipsburg, was found dead by a fellow employee.
Dr. Paul F. Drake, of Phillipsburg, deputy Warren County Physician,
said the death which was due to natural causes, occurred between 5
and 7:20 a.m. today.
Mr. Rush, a night watchman at the plant for the last several months,
formerly operated his own dairy farm in Huntington and also conducted
a milk delivery route about 40 years.
A resident of Huntington about 50 years, Mr. Rush was born in Montana,
N.J. a son of the late Lewis S. and Catharine Beam Rush.
He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and Elks Lodge, both of Phillipsburg,
and was one of the organizers and a charter member of the Huntington
Fire Department. |
