Herbert A. Ruch, 90, of Bangor R.4, died Tuesday in his home.
He was the husband of Irene M. (Young) Ruch. They were married
64 years in April.
Ruch worked with the Lower Mount Bethel Township road crew
for more than 20 years, retiring in 1976. Before that, he worked
at Alpha Cement Co., Martins Creek, the former Dixie Cup Co.,
Easton, and the former Kaiser Silk Glove Co., Bangor. He also
was a farmer.
Born in Flicksville, he was a son of the late Josiah and Elmira
(Shook) Ruch.
He was a member of Flicksville United Church of Christ, Washington
Township.
Survivors: Wife; foster son, Fred S. VanHorn of Bangor; foster
daughters, Eva J. Smith of Fort Knox, Ky., and Doris C. Quinney
of Allentown; three foster grandchildren and two foster great-
grandchildren.
Services: 11 a.m. Saturday, Hough Home for Funerals, 207 Market
St., Bangor. Call 10-11 a.m. Saturday.
