Robert C. Riehl, ex-Easton Librarian
Los Angeles, Calif. - Robert Charles Riehl 48, formerly of
Easton, died Sunday, Nov 27, in Midway Hospital in Los Angeles.
He lived in Venice, Calif., since 1983.
He was a librarian in the editorial library of the Los Angeles
Times. Prior to that, he was employed by the Brooklyn, N.Y.,
Public Library and Easton Public Library.
Born Sept. 24, 1946, in Easton; he was a son of the late Charles
and Clara Snyder Riehl.
He was a 1964 graduate of Easton Area High School, a 1975
cum laude graduate of Millersville University, where he received
a bachelor's degree in library science, and earned a master's
degree from University of Pittsburgh in 1976.
He served in the Navy from 1965 to 1970 during the Vietnam
War.
He was an active member of St. John's Episcopal Church in
Los Angeles.
Survivors include two brothers, ***. of Bethlehem and
****. of Easton; a niece and a nephew.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec 10,
in St. John's Episcopal Church in Los Angeles. Private graveside
services will be held at the convenience of the family in Northampton
Memorial Shrine in Palmer Township.
The family requests memorials to the Music Fund, care of the
church, 514 W. Adams Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90007.
