Edwin W. Price, 63, OVBaggagemaster, Stricken On Job
Edwin W. Price , 62, a baggagemaster on the Lehigh Valley Railroad
who was stricken ill on his regular run yesterday, was pronounced
dead about 2 o'clock yesterday morning when the train pulled
into the Valley station in Easton.
Mr. Price was baggagemaster on the train runing bettween New
York City and buffalo, N.Y. H ewas taken ill in South PLainfield,
N.J. and pronounced dead her by Dr. Harry B. underwood, ofEaston,
physician for hte railroad. He had been in faiing health for
several weeks.
A lifelong Easton resident, Mr. Price resided at 310 Northampton
Street, and had been employed by the railroad since 1912. He
was a on of the late Samuel E. and Larua Leiby Price.
He was a member fo the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen; the
Foresters of America, the Jacksonian Democratic Association,
The Order of Fleas, and the Franklin Engine Co., all of Easton.
He was of the Methodist faith.
The only close survivor is his wife, Florence Decker Price.
Mrs. Susan Ruby and Mrs. Nellie Raymond, both of Wrightsville,
Pa., are aunts, and Edwin Leiby, also of Wrightsville, is an
uncle. |
