Lester H. Piatt
Lester H. Piatt, 75, formerly of Maple Avenue, in Pohatcong Township,
N.J., died Wednesday in Gracedale in Upper Nazareth Township,
Pa., where he had been a guest since November 1987.
He was the proprietor of a confectionary store in Huntington,
N.J., for many years before retiring in 1974.
Born Oct. 11, 1913, in Hunting, he was a son of the late William
F. and M. Elizabeth Raub Piatt. He lived in Pohatcong all his
life.
He was a member of St. James Lutheran Church and a former
member of Huntington Volunteer Fire. Co.
Surviving are a brother, Howard F. Piatt of Phillipsburg;
and nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in Rupell Funeral Home
in Phillipsburg. Interment will be in St. James Lutheran Cemetery
in Greenwich Township, N.J.
