Ruth E. Ruddy, owned House of Baskets
New Milton, W. Va. – Ruth E. Ruddy, 80, of New Milton
W. Va., formerly of Gilbert, Pa., died Sunday in United Hospital
Center in Clarksburg, W. Va.
She was the owner of the House of Baskets in Brodheadsville
for more than 40 years.
Born Nov. 7, 1914, in Easton, she was a daughter of the late
Raymond Elmer and Anna Barron Peifer.
She was a ember of St. Johannes Lutheran church in St. Clare,
W. Va. and the Fallen Timber Homemakers Club. She was an avid
quilter.
Surviving are a daughter, *****of New Milton; two
sons, ***** of New Milton and ***** of River Falls, Wisc. and
five grandchildren.
Her husband, Neil F., died March 15, 1989. A sister, Margaret
May, also died earlier.
Memorials may be made to St. Johannes Lutheran church, Route
1, Box 157, New Milton, W. Va. 26411. The Spurgeon Funeral
Home in West Union, W. Va., is in charge of the arrangements. |
