Gerald D. Nixon
Gerald D. Nixon, a former Easton resident, died this morning
at the New Britain Conn., General Hospital where he had beena
patient since Wednesday.
Born in Warwick, N.Y. he was a son of the late Martin W.
and Phoebe A Bickhart Nixon.
He was a security guard for the Pinkerton Security Service
in Hartford, Conn, for the past five years.
He lived in Easton most of his life, moving to Connecticut
in 1965. He resided at 20 Marshall St. New Britian.
Hew as a member of VFW Post 1290, Easton, and the Palmer
Fire Co. He served in the Army during World War II.
Survivors include his widow the former Ethel Wilhelm; one
son, Joseph C. Nixon. Easton, a brother, Howard W. Nixon,
Allentown; a sister Mrs. Grace Otto, Easton; three grandchildren,
12 step-grandchildren 23 step-greatgandchildren, four step-daughters,
Mrs. Elizabeth Toarmina, Mrs. Dolores Cooper, Mrs. Viola
Wilson and Mrs. Rose Donato, all of Easton.
Funeral services will be announced by the Ricci Memorial
Chapel. |
