William Moser, chemical operator
William “Sky” Moser, 83, of Riegelsville, died Thursday, Sept 26, in ManorCare Health Services in Palmer Township, where he lived for the past 20 days.
He was last employed as a chemical operator in vitamin manufacturing for the Hoffmann-LaRoche Co. in Belvidere, retiring in 1981 after 10 years.
Earlier he was a clerk in the pattern shop for the former Treadwell Engineering Co. in Palmer Township for 15 years.
Born Aug 6, 1914, in Williams Township, he was a son of the late William and Sadie Grube Moser.
He was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Riegelsville and a former sexton, councilman and treasurer of the church.
He was a life member of Springtown Rod and gun Club. He enjoyed fishing and gardening.
His wife, the former Mildred kale, died in 1962.
He is survived by two brothers, **** of Wilmington, N.C., and **** of North Highland, Calif.; a sister, Helen Gemina of Los Angeles, Calif.; a granddaughter, a sister-in-law and a great-grandson.
A son Thomas, died in 1977.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday from the Robert W. Snyder Funeral Home, 327 Easton Road, Riegelsville, Call after 10 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
Burial will be in Riegelsville Union Cemetery in Riegelsville. |
