John E. Merrick Sr., 57, of Easton Nursing Center, formerly
of Watson Street, Phillipsburg, died Thursday, Dec. 19, in
Easton Hospital. He was the former husband of Donna (Keller)
Lieberman.
He was a nurse's aide at the Care Center of Lopatcong, Lopatcong
Township, N.J. Before that he was employed by Keystone Foods,
Forks Township, and Nytronics, Phillipsburg.
Born in Phillipsburg, he was a son of Rhoda (Stamets) Merrick
of Phillipsburg and the late Charles Merrick.
He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and the Italian-American
Pleasure Club, both of Phillipsburg.
Survivors: Mother and former wife; sons, daughter, brother,
Bruce of Phillipsburg; sisters, Joyce Savacool of Blairstown,
N.J., and June Everett of Tatamy, and two grandchildren.
Services: 11 a.m. Monday, Finegan Funeral Home, 302 Heckman
St., Phillipsburg. Call 7-9 p.m. Sunday
