Mary E. Laubach, retired N.J. Nurse
Mary Elizabeth Laubach, 73, formerly of Trenton, died Thursday, Sept. 14, in Zohlman Nursing Home in Richlandtown, where she lived since last November.
She was a registered nurse, taking training at Helene Fuld Hospital in Trenton, where she worked from 1945 until retiring in1981.
She was as an Army nurse during World War II with the rank of first lieutenant, serving in France and Germany for two years.
Born Feb 3, 1922, in Easton, she was a daughter of the late Lester and Winifred Metzgar Laubach.
She was a member of Finesville united Methodist church in Finesville, N.J., and an associate member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Ewing, N.J.
She was a member of the Nurses Association of Helen Fuld Hospital, and a member and former president of the graduate nurses’ program.
She was a 1929 graduate of Phillipsburg High school.
Survivors include a brothers, James A. of Warren Glen, N.J.; and four sisters., ***** of Riegelsville, **** of Walnut Creek, Calif., ***** of Slate Run, Pa., and *****of Milford, N.J.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in Robert W. Snyder Funeral Home, 327 Easton Road, Riegelsville, Call after 1 p.m. Monday in the funeral home, Burial will be in Bloomsbury Cemetery in Bloomsbury, N.J. |
