Fall From Wagon Fatal
Seven-Year Old Charles Knecht Dies Despite Operation
Charles Knecht, the young so of Mr. and Mrs. Jospeh Knecht, of near
Newburg, Lower Nazareth, died at 10:30 o'clock on Wednesday night from
the result of injuries he received, when he fell from a farm wagon
on Monday last. The lad was riding on the wagon and in some manner
he fell off. His skull was fractured and he received other injuries.
He was attended by Dr. Beck of Newburg and was later operated on by
Dr. H.D. Michler, surgeon of the Easton Hospital, assisted by Dr. Beck.,
at the home of his parents. However, all efforts to save him were futile.
He was seven years old. Besides his parents he is survived by one brother,
William. The funeral will be held on Sunday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock
from the home of his parents, with services in the Hecktown church,
and interment in the Hecktown cemetery, Rev. C. W. Butz, officiating. |
