F. Orson Kline 78, Was retired Farmer And School Teacher
Francis Orson Kline, 79, retired school teacher and farmer,
of Mt. Pleasant, Bangor R.D. 5, died this morning in Betts
Hospital, to which he was admitted last Saturday.
Mr. Kline was born in Lower Mt. Bethel Township and spent
his entire life there. He taught school for 28 years and retired
from farming in 1919. For 30 years, he served as secretary
of the Lower Mt. Bethel Township Road Supervisors.
He was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Martins
Creek, and served as superintendent of the Sunday school and
as a ember of the church council for many years. He also was
a member of Camp No. 542, P. O. S. of A, of Easton.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Emma Mack Kline; a sister,
Mrs. Clayton V. Shimer, fo Easton; a foster daughter, Mrs.
Frank M. Holland, of Chicago, Ill.; a granddaughter, Phyllis
Holland, also of Chicago, and a number of nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. from the
Adams funeral home, 226 Bushkill street, Easton, with the Rev.
Philip Pearson officiating. Interment will be in Church Hill
cemetery
