Edgar E. King, 70, Retired Machinist
Edgar E. King, 70, 2706 Spring Garden St., died today at 9:55 a.m. at Easton Hospital, where he had been a patient since Nov. 24. He had been in failing health for some time.
Mr. King worked at C. K. Williams & Co. as a machinist about 30 years , retiring a little more than a year ago. He was born in Forks Township, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Eugene King.
He had spent most of his life in the Easton area. He lived for a short time in Bethlehem before World War I. He was employed at Bethlehem Steel Co. about that time. He also formerly worked for the Ingersoll-Rand Co.
Mr. King was a member of the Calvary Memorial Methodist church. He and his wife, the former Harriet Blake, would have observed their 50 th wedding anniversary next March.
Surviving, in addition to his widow, are four children; Edgar, new York City; John, Wilson, a sergeant with the borough police force; Donald, Easton, and Mrs. Fred R. Hamlen, with whom he last resided. He also is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Orrin Kocher, Nazareth R. D.; Mrs. Helen Rohrbach, Easton, and Mrs. Lottie Getter, Bethlehem and four grandchildren.
