Charles J. Kiefer, Sr.
Charles J. Kiefer sr., 68, of 1140 Garfield St., Bethlehem, died yesterday in St. Luke's hospital Fountain Hill.

Mr. Kiefer was employed in the treatment department of Bethlehem Steel Co. He retired three years ago.

Born in Bethlehem he was a on of the late George W. and Louise Everhard Kiefer.

He was a member of Friedensville Lutheran Church. He served with the Army in France during World W ar I

Survivors include his widow, the former Stella Frey; three sons, Charles J. Jr., Prospect Heights; George H., Bethlehem, and ***** with the U.S. Coast Guard in Hawaii; four daughters, Mrs. Arlene Misinco and ****** both of Bethlehem; *****, Butztown and *****, Hellertown; seven brothers, Robert, Mooresville, Joseph, Albert, Francis, Louis, Arthur and Wilbur, all of Bethlehem; three sisters, Mrs. Joseph Schrieber, Mrs. William Reed and Mrs. Walter Hahn, all of Bethlehem, and 15 grandchildren.

The funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Connell Funeral Home, Bethlehem.
