Langlois, Anna May
REXFORD Mrs. Anna May Langlois, 84, Coberg Village Way, Rexford, N.Y.,
formerly of Main Street, Massena, died Monday evening, July 19, 2004 at her
home. She had recently moved to Rexford in March.
She was born on September 7,
1919 in Pa., the daughter of the late Joseph S. and Della May (Brotzman)
Illick.
She graduated from Syracuse University with a bachelor's degree. She
married Learned J. Langlois on August 19, 1959 at the First English Lutheran
Church, Syracuse. Mr. Langlois died October 26, 2002.
Before her marriage, she
was an executive assistant at Haylor, Hahn, Fryor Insurance in Syracuse. After
marriage, she and her husband owned and operated Langlois Agency, a real
estate and insurance company, Massena. After closing their business, she
became the business manager for Ed Kaneb Apartments, Massena, retiring in July
2003.
She was a member of the Cretona Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star #513
and active member of the Massena Republican Club. She was a member of the
Emmanuel Congregation United Church of Christ, where she served as the
treasurer for several years. She enjoyed working very much and being with her
family. She was a very devoted wife and mother. She was known for her warm
humor and her generosity for others. She was the children's angel on earth.
She is survived by her children, *****, both of
Waterford, N.Y., *****, NYC and North Chatham,
N.Y., ******, East Greenbush, N.Y., *****, Schenectady, N.Y., *****, Yulee, Fla., *****, Slingerlands, N.Y.; 10 grandchildren; 10
great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by two
sisters, Dorothy Gutermuth and Dr. Helen Breed and two brothers, Joseph and
Peter Illick. A graveside service was held Friday at Oakwood Cemetery,
Syracuse.
Arrangements were with the Donaldson Funeral Home, Massena.
