Arietta C. Cooper
Arietta C. Cooper, 75, of Andrews, N.C. formerly of Washington,
N.J. died Sunday in Mountain Park Medical Center, St. Andrews.
Born Aug. 21, 1911, in Easton, she was a daughter of the
late Mr. and Mrs. Ezra Houck.
Mrs. Cooper was a member of First Baptist Church. St. Andrews,
and a former member of the United Methodist Church, Washington,
where she had served as superintendent of the Sunday school’s
primary department. She had been a member of the church’s
finance committee and administrative board and was a past
president of the women’s Society.
Surviving are he husband, Clark C. Cooper, a son, Raymond,
Paisley, Fla.; a daughter, Betty Norman, Prospect, Conn.;
three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services will beheld at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the DeVoe Funeral
Home, Washington. Interment will be in Fairmount Cemetery,
Phillipsburg.
