Glenn L. Helms, 79, of 4310 Lower Saucon Road, Lower Saucon Township,
died Feb. 10 in St. Luke's Hospital, Fountain Hill.
He was an industrial arts instructor for the Bethlehem Area School
District, teaching at Broughal, East Hills and Nitschmann middle schools.
Born in Lower Saucon Township, he was a son of the late William F.
Sr. and Ethel I. (Hineline) Helms.
He was a Lutheran.
While at Broughal middle school, he and his students were honored
for an exhibit at the National Industrial Arts Convention, Philadelphia.
He was a past president and board member of the Pennsylvania Nut Growers
Association. He bred and grew nut-bearing trees on his family's farm
in Lower Saucon Township, where he at one time had more than 17,000
nursery trees.
Survivors: No immediate.
Services: 11 a.m. Saturday, Heintzelman Funeral Home, 326 Main St.,
