Old Teacher Dead
Years Ago, Joseph Heil Taught the Youngsters in Upper Section of County
Joseph Heil, about 64 years old and unmarried, died early Sunday Morning at his home at Richmond, this county. He had been sick about a year, suffering from the effects of an attack of apoplexy, which resulted in his death. The deceased was a native of Washington township and was well known in the upper section of the county. During his earlier years he was employed as a school teacher. Later he was engaged in farming. He was a lifelong Democrat, but never aspired to office. Two brothers survive him. They are George Heil, of Bangor, and William Heil, of Lower Mt. Bethel Township.
Mr. Heil was a member of the Reformed congregation at Centreville. The funeral services will be held from the deceased’s late resident on Wednesday morning at 9:30 o’clock. Services will be held at Three Churches where interment will also take place. |
