Miss Laurenda Haupt, 72, died yesterday at the home of her nephew E. Samuel Grosch, at Bethlehem. She was a daughter of the late Stephen and Susan Levers Haupt and retired four years ago after spending 28 years in the service of the government and as a teacher in the Bethlehem schools. She held responsible positions at the u. S. Mint, Philadelphia, in the Mint at Washington, the Marine Hospital at Washington, the Marine Hospital Service and in the Treasury and Allen Custodian Departments.
