Walter C. Grube
Walter C. Grube “Bud” Grube, 67 of 409 Stones Crossing, Palmer Township, formerly of 416 N. Eighth St., Easton, died today at Warren Hospital.
He was a truck driver for the Department of Highways of the City of Easton for more than 20 years, retiring in 1977.
Born Dec 23, 1916, in Palmer Township, he was a son of the late Walter I. and Emma E. Leh Grube.
Mr. Grube, 1 1935 graduate of Easton High School was a member of St. Mark’s United Church of Christ, veterans of Foreign Wars post 1290, and the Varsity E. Club, all of Easton. He served with the U.S. Army in the European and African theaters during World War II.
His wife, the former Shirley E. Taylor, died May 5, 1984.
Surviving are a son, ****. of Palmer Township; a daughter, Mrs. *****, Palmer Township; a brother, Wayne A., of Catasauqua, former Easton High football coach; three sisters, Mrs. Beatrice Lennox and ****, both of Phillipsburg, and Mrs. Arranetta Young, Alpha and a grandson.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the Ashton funeral Home, Easton. Interment will be in Easton cemetery. |
