Charles A. Good
Charles A. Good, a well known retired resident of College Hill
and a former member of the Easton School Board, of 435 McCartney
Street, died at 12:18 this afternoon at the Easton Hospital,
of a complication of ailments, aged 68 years. He was admitted
to the hospital on May 17 for Medical treatment.
Mr. Good was a native of Lower Mt. Bethel Township, this county
and was a son of the late Reuben J. and Emma E. good. He was
employed in the Bush & Bull store this city, for 28 years,
the last position he held there being that of floor walker.
He served on the Easton School Board from the Third Ward from
1897 to 1900 and was for a number of years one of the registrars
in the Third Ward.
Mrs. Good’s wife, Mrs. Emma Miller, died on April 28
last. She was a daughter of the late Charles P. and Catherine
Krotz Miller. His survived by three brothers and two sisters:
Ayers Good, Richmond, this county, Hervey Good, Hettinger South
Dakota/ Dr. S. L. Good, New York City, Mrs. Philip Miller,
Belvidere N.J. and Mrs. Clark Horn, Upper Mt. Bethel.
For many years Mr. good was an active member of St. Paul’s
Lutheran church, North Fourth Street, and served as an elder
of the congregation. He was a member of Lehicton Lodge, No.
224, I.O.O.F. |
