Robert E. Gill
Robert E. Gill, 57, of 249 Heckman St. in Phillipsburg, died Wednesday in his home.
He was employed as a custodian at Independence Township Elementary School in Great Meadows, N.J., having last worked on Tuesday. Prior to that, hw was a custodian at Phillipsburg Catholic High School.
Born Nov. 27, 1932, in Stewartsville, N.J., he was a son of the late Andrew and Evelyn Rush Gill. He resided in the Philipsburg area all of his life.
He was of the Presbyterian faith.
He was a member of the New Jersey education association and the National Education Association.
He was a 1950 graduate of Phillipsburg High School and attended Vallejo College in Vallejo, Calif.
He served in the Air Force.
He is survived by two daughters, *****, of White Township, N.J., and **** of Oklahoma City, Okla.; three brothers, Andrew J. of Stewartsville, James J. of Port Clinton, Ohio and *****. of Phillipsburg; a sister, ***** of Delaware Heights, Phillipsburg; and two grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the Rupell Funeral Home in Phillipsburg. Interment will be in Stewartsville Lutheran Cemetery. |
