Boy Fatally Hurt on Road
Norman Frankenfield, 13, Of Kintnersville, Dies In Easton Hospital.

Norman Frankenfield, 13 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Frankenfield, of Kintnersville, died at 11:30 o'clock last night from injuries sustained at about 4:30 in the afternoon, when he was struck by an automobile driven by T. Elwood Roberts of Easton, R.D. No. 3.

Norman attended the public school at Monroe, several miles north of Kintnersville. He traveled to and from school on his bicycle , and was returning yesterday afternoon, when the accident occurred. He was approaching his home, and was riding behind a motor truck. As he came near his home he turned to the left to get around the truck, and as he did this he drove directly in the path of the auto driven by Mr. Roberts. The Eastonians's car struck him, demolished his bicycle and threw him to the concrete road with a great force. He was immediately placed in Mr. Roberts' auto and was brought to the Easton hospital, where it was found that he suffered from a fractured skull, a broken back and internal injuries. Everything possible was done to save his life, but to no avail and he died at 11:20.

Mr. Roberts after taking the boy to the hospital went to the Easton City Hall and reported the accident. He was released on his own recognizance and promised to appear if wanted.

The boy was very bright and was popular with his mates. He was a faithful member of the Nockamixon Lutheran Sunday school, his parents attending the church there. He is survived by his parents and by one sister, Hazel, residing at home, and who is a student at Easton High School.
