Benjamin Frankenfield
Benjamin Frankenfield a retired farmer of Bethlehem Township died Monday
evening at his late residence at Farmersville, in the eighty-fourth
year of his age. Death was due to paralysis, with which he was stricken
last Friday, two weeks after both he and his wife had celebrated their
sixtieth wedding anniversary at the home of their daughter in Lower
Saucon. The deceased was born in New York State on December 24, 1824.
Mr. Frankenfield was engaged in farming up to about twenty years ago,
when he retired from his avocation. He leaves his widow, Sabina, and
five children: Jacob I. of West Bethlehem, Isaac, of Bethlehem; Mrs.
William Herman and Mrs. Andrew Uhler, of Lower Saucon and Mrs. Alice
Koch, of Nazareth; 31 grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Josiah Seifert
of Bethlehem and Mrs. Elizabeth Sloyer, of Tatamy. The deceased had
been unconscious since the stroke on Friday. The funeral will take
place from his late residence on Saturday at 10 a.m. and will proceed
to St. John's Union church at Farmersville, where services will be
held, the Rev. J.A. Klick officiating. Interment will be made in the
family plot in the cemetery near the church. |
