Edinger, Karl D.
Karl D. Edinger, 78, of Palmer Township, died Monday December
18, 2006 in Lehigh Valley Hospital.
Born: August 14, 1928
in Wilson Borough he was the son of the late Clark of Catharine
Siegfried Edinger.
Personal: He and his wife, the former
Ann Sletor, were married for 55 years. He was the third generation
at Kendon Nursery in Palmer Township for many years until
1968. He retired from Greentree Nursery in Allentown in 1991.
He was a graduate of Wilson High School.
Memberships: He
was very active in many organizations, including Dallas/Lafayette
Lodge #396 F.& A.M., where he was a 32nd Degree Mason,
Past Worshipful Master and member of the Tall Cedars of Lebanon,
he was also chairman of the Palmer Township Shade Tree Commission,
Director of the Penn-Dutch Pyrennes Club and active in the
Therapy Dog program. He was a Marine Corps veteran and member
of the Northampton County Marine Corps League.
Survivors:
In addition to his wife, Ann; a son, ****, and his wife,
***** of Hummelstown, Pa; two daughters, *****,
and her husband, **** of Bethlehem, and ****
and her husband, ***** of Bethlehem Township; a sister, *****
of Palmer Township; and seven grandchildren. He was predeceased
by a son, Matthew, in 1978.
Services: Graveside
services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday in the Northampton
Memorial Shrine, Palmer Township. The Ashton Funeral
Home, 14th and Northampton Sts., Easton is in charge of arrangements. |
