ROBERT V. DIMMIG
Robert V. Dimmig, 70, of 1819 Seventh St., Bethlehem Township,
died Wednesday in St. Luke's Hospital. He was the husband of
Mary (Kittek) Dimmig.
He was employed by the Philadelphia, Bethlehem and New England
Railroad for 30 years until retiring in 1974 as yardmaster. Later,
he worked for the Blum Detective Agency for four years.
Born in Bingen, he was a son of the late Charles Dimmig and
Tillie (Fluck) Dimmig Meilinger.
Dimmig was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Bethlehem
Township.
He served in the Army during World War II.
Surviving with his widow are a brother Paul of Bingen; two sisters,
Mrs. Grace Kneiss of Hellertown and Mrs. Elizabeth Clewell of
Allentown, and a stepbrother, George Meilinger of Hellertown.
Services at 9 a.m. Saturday in the Connell Funeral Home, 245
E. Broad St., Bethlehem, will be followed by a Mass of Christian
Burial at 9:30 a.m. in the church. Calling hours will be 7-9
p.m. Friday. |
