Frank L. Davis, headed Wilson School Board
Frank L. Davis, 72, building contractor and former president of the Wilson School Board, died Thursday in Boca Raton Community Hospital, Boca Raton, Fla. He was in ill health for the last several months. He formerly resided at 1806 Lehigh St., Wilson.
Mr. Davis was a contractor in the Easton area 45 years, retiring in 1973.
In addition to serving on the Wilson School board, he was a past president of the Wilson Recreation Board and a former trustee of the Easton YWCA.
He was a member o St. Mark’s United Church of Christ, Easton; a charter member of the Wilson Republican club; a member of Easton Lodge 152, Forks of the Delaware Shrine Club; the Gold Coast Shrine club, Deerfield Beach, Fla. and Lehigh consistory, Allentown.
Born in Easton, he was a son of the late Frederick and Eudora Davis.
Surviving are his wife the former Doris Gage; a daughter Mrs. Marilyn Slavin, Darien Conn.; two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Warner, Allentown, and Mrs. George Ritter, Easton a brother Frederick of Drexel Hill, Pa.; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Shillinger Funeral Home. Easton .Interment will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine. The forks of the Delaware Shrine club will hold services at 2 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
