Chavar, Joanne

Joanne Chavar, of Broomall, Pa, passed away on Monday, August 18, 2008 surrounded by her family.

Born: She was a beloved daughter of John W. Chavar and the late Marjorie K. nee Walters.

Personal: A graduate of Springfield High School, Joanne went on to work at the Community Workshop in Havertown, Pa, and currently, she worked for Allegheny Valley School where she was an award winning employee. Joanne will be remembered for her big smile, warm welcomes, sense of humor, and friendliness. She loved baking, music, weddings, gatherings at her home, her pet birds, and group outings with Aiesha and the girls from her group home. Joanne's loyalty, kindness, and loving affection for her family will be missed most of all.

Survivors: In addition to her father, John, she is survived by her brothers, **** and his wife, ****, and ***** and his wife, *****; nieces and nephews, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends whom she adored.

Services: Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass, which will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. in St. Anastasia Church, 3301 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, Pa. Interment will be in Ss. Peter and Paul Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and again on Friday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. in the Donohue Funeral Home, 3300 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, Pa.
