Michael Bunstein
Michael Bunstein, a well known Eastonian, died at his home, No. 718 Bushkill Street, this city, at 1:55 o’clock Monday night of phlegmitts, in the seventy first year of his age. He was confined to his bed with the disease for the past three weeks. Deceased was a native of Easton, and a son of the late Aaron and Rachel Bunstein, long since deceased. In the Civil War he served as a color-sergeant in the 153rd regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteers. He was a blacksmith by trade and at the time of his death he was engaged in the flour and feed and general grocery business, at No. 707 Wood Street, this city.
Mr. Bunstein is survived by his widow, a son, John J. Bunstein, of Easton, and these daughters Mrs. Stewart Cougle, of Easton; Mrs. Howard King, of the South Side; Mrs. Thomas Bachman, of the South Side, and Mrs. Harry Phillippe, of Easton. Two half brothers also survive; John and George Barnet, of Easton.
Deceased was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church. The funeral will take place from his late home on Friday afternoon at 3 o’clock. Interment in the Easton heights Cemetery. |
