WILSON `DUCKY' BRODT, OWNED BRODT ARCHERY SHOP, 25 YEARS

Wilson Roland "Ducky" Brodt Jr., 75, of Forks Township,
died Friday, Dec. 3, in the home of his son, Darwin E. of Bushkill
Township. He was the husband of Doris E. (Buzzard) Brodt. They
were marrie for 53 years in June.
He and his wife owned and operated Wilson Brodt Archery Shop,
Forks Township, for 25 years. He worked for Pfizer Inc., Easton,
for 30 years before retiring in 1988, and previously at RESCO,
Easton, Binney & Smith, Easton, and for Frank Keim and
Elmo Frey, Nazareth.
Born in Fountain Hill, he was a son of the late Wilson Sr.
and Esther (Knecht) Brodt.
He was a member and former usher of Faith Lutheran Church,
Forks Township.
He was an Army veteran of World War II, having served in the
148th Engineer Battalion. He was awarded three Bronze Battle
Stars for his participation in the campaign of Northern France,
and the Rhineland and Normandy campaigns, including a landing
on Utah Beach. He was a life member of the Disabled American
Veterans.
He was a past treasurer and member of the Delaware Valley
Bowman & Musconetong Archery Clubs in New Jersey; a member
of the Blue Ridge Bowman; and the Saylorsburg and Stockertown
Rod and Gun clubs.
Survivors: Wife and sons; sister, ,
and five grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Daniel
R.
Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday, Schmidt Mortuary, 407, Belvidere
St., Nazareth. Call 7-8:30 p.m. Monday.
