Local Woman Stricken While Riding On Bus
Miss Stella M. Brittain, 70, of 1104 Butler Street, Easton,
died suddenly shortly after 2 p.m. yesterday while she was
riding as a passenger in the bus en route from Centre Square
to Stewartsville. The bus was on North Third Street, when Miss
Brittain was stricken Dr. J.J. Quiney Jr. was immediately summoned
and pronounced the woman dead. Dr. D. F. Bachman, Northampton
County coroner, said death was due to a heart attack.
Miss Brittain was born in Easton Feb. 4, 1878 and resided
here all her life. Her parents were the late Samuel and Mary
Alice Meixsell Brittain. She was a member of First Methodist
church. A number of cousins are her only survivors. |
