Betty Crouthamel
Betty Crouthamel, 88, formerly of Plainfield Township, died Tuesday, July 2, 2013, in Holy Family Manor. She was the wife of the late Kenneth M. Crouthamel, who died March 3, 2009. Born April 21, 1925 in Bethlehem Township, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Viola (Campbell) Bennett.
Betty worked at the former Orrs Department Store as a manager in the cosmetic department and she retired from the former Sparrow Blouse Mill in Nazareth. She was a former member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Nazareth. Betty loved spending time with her family and enjoyed her many friends, especially the Golden Girls at Traditions. She always provided much love for her pet dogs and cat, and she will be remembered for her great personality and sense of humor.
Survivors: Two daughters, Elena, wife of Ronald Ryerson, of Camp Hill, PA, Hope Stempo and her house mate, Anita Nikki Kotoris, of Northampton; four grandchildren, Lori Ryerson, Daniel Ryerson, Trenace Caserta, and Michelle Stempo; seven great-grandchildren. Services: A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, July 6, at 10:30 a.m. in the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 22nd and Washington Ave., Northampton. Family and friends may call Saturday, 9 to 10 a.m. in the Reichel Funeral Home, 326 E. 21st St., Northampton.
Burial will follow in the Northampton Memorial Shrine. Contributions: Memorials may be presented to Holy Family Manor or St. Lukes Hospice c/o funeral home. |
