Alvin A. Albert
Alvin A. Albert, 76, died at 6:30 p.m. yesterday at the home of a son, Paul H. Albert, of Cherry Valley, where he had resided since he suffered a stroke a month ago.
Mr. Albert was a native of Bangor, but had lived most of his life in Monroe County. He was a retired barber and a member of the Poplar Valley Methodist Church.
Survivors include five sons: Paul H. and Alvin Edward Albert, East Stroudsburg; John S. Albert, Stroudsburg, R. D.2; Fred K. Albert, Shawnee-on-Delaware, and Elmer R., Albert, Sciota; two daughters, Mrs. Bessie Ross, Macungie and Mrs. Ethel Kolster, New Jersey; one sister, Mrs. J. S. Dean, Pittsburgh, 21 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Lanterman and Sons funeral home, Washington Street, East Stroudsburg. The Rev. C. Clyde Levergood, pastor of the Cherry Valley Methodist Charge, will officiate. Interment will be in the Poplar Valley cemetery. |
