James P. Able
James P. Able, formerly a well known farmer and milkman in
Forks and Lower Saucon
Townships, and who resided recently at 110 North Ninth street,
West Easton, died at 6:05 o'clock this morning at the Easton
Hospital, from a cerebral hemorrhage aged 76 years. He was
admitted to the hospital yesterday morning.
Mr. Abel was born in Forks township and was a son of the
late Phillip and Henriette Able. For many years he conducted
a farm near the Bell schoolhouse and had a milk route in
this city. About fifteen years ago he moved to Lower Saucon
where he also conducted a farm. From Lower Saucon he moved
to Wilson borough and resided at 2216 Forest street. He was
employed as a laborer on the streets of Wilson borough for
several years. Two months ago he moved to West Easton.
Deceased is survived by his widow, Mrs. Sarah Able, and
by two brothers, Benjamin Able, of Palmer Township, and William
Abel of Morristown, N.J. The body has been removed to the
home of his niece, Mrs. J.B. Miller, 1138 Lehigh Street,
this city, from where the funeral will be held. |
