Schiffert, died at 12:25 p.m. yes terday of cancer of the breast, after an illness dating back to last Janua ry, when she had an operation performed. She was only bedfast for about th ree weeks. The deceased was a daughter of Isaac and Elizabeth Amey, deceased and w as born in Salisbury township, December 5, 1945. She was married on Janua ry 17, 1869, and leaves her husband, one son, Robert L., alderman of the N inth Ward, and one granddaughter. The brothers and sisters are: Aaron a nd Ed. Amey, of this city, Robert of Frankford, Ind.; Mrs. Mary Neidlinge r, of Indianapolis, Ind. She was a member of Trinity Reformed Church and an active member of the bi ble class in the Sunday school. The family has resided in the one hou se at No. 1212 Walnut Street for thirty years. The funeral will take pla ce Thursday afternoon at 1:30 o?clock. Rev. L. J. Rohrbaugh officiatin g. Interment will be made in Fairview Cemetery. | ||
