Valentine Young
Valentine Young, who resided with his son, George J. Young, Nazareth R. D. 1, died this morning at 8 o’clock of infirmities incident to old age. He was aged 82 years, 7 months and 15 days.
Mr. Young was born in Plainfield Township, a son of the late Jacob and Catherine Bower Young. His wife, Mrs. Susanna Gold Young, died in 1933.
He was a slater by occupation and also a farmer. He retired from active work ten years ago. He formerly lived at Belfast where he conducted a farm for many years.
Mr. Young is survived by three sons and three daughters, Mrs. Howard Knecht, Nazareth; H. V. Young, Francis E. Young, Mrs. Floyd Cressman, Mrs. John Buzzard, all of Nazareth, R.D2; eleven grandchildren; one brother, Oliver Young, Trenton, N.J.; one sister, Mrs. Eugene Metz, Nazareth.
Funeral at Schmidt Funeral Home, Wind Gap, on Thursday at 2 p.m. The Rev. Walter H. Diehl, of Nazareth, will officiate and interment will be made in Belfast Union Cemetery. |
