Mrs. Oliver
DeLong
Mrs. Ella
Jane DeLong, 74, of 62 Brainard St., Phillipsburg, died
today in Warren Hosptial where she was a patient since
Feb. 4.
Her husband,
Oliver U. DeLong, died in 1937.
She was born
in Phillipsburg, Dec. 6, 1896, a daughter of the late Calvin
and Jennie Henry Wilhelm, and had lived there all her life.
Mrs. Delong
was employed as a winder at the Onodaga Silk Co., Easton,
Retiring in 1958.
She was a
member of Pilgrim Presbyterian Church, Phillipsburg, and
the Gold Star Mothers.
Surviving
are four sons, five daughters, a sister Mrs. Myrtle Nelson,
Jersey City, N.J.; 20 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
A son, Kenneth,
was killed while serving with the Army in France in 1944.
The funeral
will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Pilgrim Presbyterian
Church. Interment will be in Fairmount Cemetery. The Rupell
Funeral Home is in charge of arrangments. |
