Robert D. Werkheiser, 44, of Raubsville R.D. 4, did last night in Easton Hospital after a brief illness.

He was employed in the shipping department of Cooper Energy, Palmer Township, for the last two years. He was formerly employed by Whippany Paper Board, Riegelsville, for 21 years.

Born in West Easton, on June 6, 1925, he was a son of Margaret E. Lehr Werkheiser, Raubsville, and the late George R. Werkheiser.

He was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran church, Riegelsville, Williams Township Fire co., and the United electrical Radio and Machine Workers of America, Local 141.

Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife, the former Betty Cole; four daughters, ***** Bangor, and *****, **** and **** all at home; four brothers, Carl of Belvidere, Harold and Roger, both of Williams Township, and Richard of Washington; three sisters, Mrs. Betty Kunsman, Riegelsville, Mrs. Elsie Kunsman, Williams township, and Mrs. Frances Kunsman, Bangor.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the Ashton Funeral Home, Easton. Interment will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine.
