Walters, Richard "Elm"
Richard D. "Elm" Walters, 77, of Bethlehem, passed away Friday, November 30, 2007, in Lehigh Valley Hospital Muhlenberg, Bethlehem.
Born: Richard was born in West New York, N.J., a son of the late Howard "Nelson" and Marjorie Santree Walters.
Personal: He was the husband of the former Madelyne Freund. He graduated from Wilson High School in 1948, where he was a standout basketball player. He greatly enjoyed playing sports, and went on to play semi-pro basketball in the Lehigh Valley area. Richard was a sales representative for Addressograph Multigraph, now named Datacard, and was a member of the Bethlehem YMCA. S
urvivors: his wife; sons, ***** and his partner, *****, of North Bay Village, Fla., **** and his wife, ****, of North Wales, Pa., **** and his wife, ****, of Bethlehem; grandchildren, brothers, ***** and his wife, *****, of Fallbrook, Calif., *****s and his wife, *****, of Orange Park, Fla.
Richard was predeceased by sisters, Margaret Chavar, Dorothy Hagerman, Sandra Morrison, and Virginia Inderelst.
Services: noon Saturday in the Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden St., Bethlehem. Friends may call 11:30 a.m. to time of service. |
