Karl W. Vogel, 56, Lehigh Valley Employee
Karl W. Vogel, 50, an employee of the Lehigh Valley Railroad
for 30 years, died early this morning at his hoem, 163 West
St. Jospeh Street, after a long illness.
He was born June 18, 1899, in Easton, a son of the late Wilson
and Mary Jane Weyhenmeyer Vogel, and had spent all his life
in this city. Mr. Vogel worked as a storehouse clerk for the
railroad.
He had been active in the work of the parent-teacher association
for many years, and was a past president of the Porter P.T.A.
Mr. Vogel also was a member of First Methodist church.
Surviving are his wife, Prudence Sutton Vogel; a son, Thomas
W. Vogel of Easton; a sister, Mrs. Erma L. Dech, of Easton,
and a brotehr, Marshall E. Vogel, of Reading. |
