Richard Uhler
After an illness of several years, Richard Uhler, one of Easton’s best known citizens died at his residence, No. 49 North Fourth Street, of Bright’s disease of the kidneys, in the 75th year of his age.

Mr. Uhler was a native of Forks Township, where he was prominent as a farmer and later as a hotel keeper. Since moving to Easton seven years ago he was lived retired. He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Valentine Uhler, long since deceased.

His widow and the following children survived him: I. S. Uhler, Esq., Miss Clarissa Uhler an Miss Edna Uhler, all of this city, Madison Uhler, of Bushkill township, and Dr. O. H. Uhler, of Allentown; two brothers __ Jeremiah Uhler, of Easton and John J. Uhler, of Lower Mt. Bethel township __ and one sister, Mrs. Reuben Jacoby, of Upper Mt. Bethel township, also survive him. Deceased was a member of the Forks Township Lutheran Church.
