Homer I. Uhler, 72, had farm supply firm
Homer Irvin Uhler, 72, of Paoli, Pa., died Tuesday in Paoli Memorial Hospital after he was stricken by a heart attack.
Born in Bangor, he was a son of the late Clayton and Myrtle Messinger Uhler.
Mr. Uhler was a wholesale seedsman in Malvern, Chester County, for some 20 years. Before that he operated Ardmore Farm Supply in Ardmore, Montgomery County. He also cultivated roses at a New Jersey nursery, and worked briefly after graduating from Easton High School in 1925 for the Dixie Products plant, Wilson.
Survivors are his wife, the former Alice Hewes, a son, *****. of Romney. W. Va.; a daughter, *****, Plantation, Fla. a step-daughter, *****, Halifax, Pa.; a sister, Louise Uhler, retired mathematics teacher and guidance counselor at the former Shull Junior High School, Easton; a brother, Frederick Uhler, Mercer island, Washington, and seven grandchildren.
Interment will be in St. John’s Cemetery, Bangor. Arrangements are in charge of the Strunk Funeral Home, Easton and the Mauger funeral Home, Malvern.
