O.C. Stocker, 605 South Third street, pioneer Las Vegas resident
and railroad man, died at his home at 10;30 o'clock last evening.
Remains are at the Palm Funeral Home chapel, where they can
be viewed all day tomorrow. Private funeral rites, over which
the Rev. C. F. Dunn will officiate, will be conducted at the
funeral home at 10 o'clock Saturday morning, and members of
the family will attend; The family has requested that no flowers
be sent. Following the services, the remains will be sent to
Los Angeles for cremation.

Oscar C. Stocker
Oscar C. Stocker, former resident of Reading, a native of Easton,
passed away at his home in Las Vegas, Nev., last Wednesday.
He left Reading in 1904 and since that time has resided in
the West.
He was the son of the late Jackson F. and Mary E. Stocker
and is survived by his widow, Mayme V. Clifton Stocker, two
sons, Clarence C. and Harold J. Stocker, one sister, Mrs. Robert
Van Luvanee, of Easton, and one brother, Howard R. Stocker,
of Washington, D.C.
Mr. Stocker was 69 years old. He joined the Brotherhood of
Railway Trainmen in Lodge No. 172 at Reading and had held continuous
membership for 39 years.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday Morning followed
by Cremation in Los Angeles, Cal. |
