Mrs. Hazel V. Sargent, 80, of Sciota R.1, Monroe County, formerly of 2485 Freemansburg Ave., Wilson, died Saturday in Pocono Hospital, East Stroudsburg. She was the widow of Raymond E. Sargent.
She was a production worker for the Smiley Candy Co., Avona Heights, before retiring in 1968.
Born in Easton, she was a daughter of the late Leander K. and Gertrude (Grube) Stem.
She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Wilson.
Surviving are a daughter *****, wife of *****, with whom she resided; three sisters, Mrs. Mabel Hummel and Mrs. Ethel Golden, both of Wilson, and Mrs. Bertha Holdsworth of Palmer Township, and two grandchildren. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Ashton Funeral Home, 14th and Northampton streets, Easton. Calling hours will be 7-8:30 p.m. Monday. |
