Mrs. Sarah C. Stametz
Mrs. Sarah Catharine Stametz, widow of James Stametz, died
at 4:50 yesterday afternoon of a complication of ailments,
at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charles S. Merrick, at Rieglesville,
in the 69th year of her age. She had been ill since November.
Mrs. Stametz was a daughter of the late George and Lucinda
Unangst Steckel and was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran church,
Riegelsvile.
The following children survive her: George W. Stametz, of
Alpha; Samuel D. Stametz, of Reigelsville; Mrs. Edward Snyder
and Mrs. Charles S. Merrick, Rieglesville, she also leaves
15 grandchildren and the following brothers and sisters: Francis
Steckel, of Centre Valley; John, George, Wilson and Irvin Steckel,
and Mrs. Benjamin Raub, Mrs. Wilson Woodring, and Mrs. Thomas
Hineline, Mrs. Ira Illick and Mrs. Howard Benner, all of Easton.
The funeral will be held on Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock
with services in St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Riegelsvile,
and interment in Greenwich Cemetery, NJ. |
