LeRoy A. Steckel
LeRoy A. Steckel, 78, of Hellertown, formerly of Crest Avenue, Bethlehem, died
Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2003, in his home. Born: April 5, 1926, in Easton, he was a
son of the late Theophilus and Laura Albert Steckel and a foster son of the late
Raymond and Edith Siegfried.
Personal: His wife, the former, Jane Joan Trautman, died earlier.
LeRoy was a steelworker in the beam yard of the former Bethlehem
Steel Corp. for 35 years. He was an Army veteran.
Memberships: He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church of
Lower Saucon.
Survivors: a son, a daughter, a brother, Charles in New Jersey;
a sister-in-law, June Steckel in New York; four grandchildren;
and a great-grandchild.
Services: 11 a.m. Saturday in the Falk Funeral Home, 1418
Main St., Hellertown. Friends may call from 10 a.m. to time
of services Saturday in the funeral home. Burial will be in
Lower Saucon Church Cemetery in Hellertown
