Calvin B. Smith
Calvin B. Smith, 79, Stroudsburg R. D.2, Kellersville, died Wednesday in the laurel Manor Nursing Home, Stoudsburg.
A lifelong resident of the area, he was a retired teacher who taught in the public schools of Hamilton Township for more than 40 years.
Born in Ross Common, he was a son of the late Stephen and Elizabeth Pryor Smith.
He was a member of Kellersvile Methodist church, Barger Lodge, 325 F&AM, Stroudsburg, and the Fort Penn Lodge of Odd Fellows, Stroudsburg.
Survivors include two sons, Donald B. Smith and Bernard P. Smith, both of Stroudsburg R.D2; daughter, Mrs. Genevieve R. Leon, Stroudsburg R.D.2; 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; a brother, Earl Smith, Ross Common and four sisters, Mrs. Lillian Kichline and Mrs. Lawrence Tremmel, both of Bethlehem, Mrs. Joyal Fordner, Wind Gap and Mrs. Myrtle Schmauder, Sun Valley.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow at the Daniel G. Warner Funeral Home, Stroudsburg. Interment will be in Kellersville Methodist Cemetery. |
